'Splendour' Book Cover ~ The Country Diary

A sweet yet practical book jacket to cover your books, notebooks, journals and diaries from dust, and wear and tear.  It comes with a new A6-sized hardcover 2015 diary, ready to organise and record your daily chronicles.

The 'Splendour'' Book Cover is made using interfaced US designer cotton *The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady* and is lined with cappuccino brown felt.  The cover is embellished with the cross-stitched words "Life is a Beautiful Ride" in brown, printed cotton label 'Zakka Life', a piece of brown polka-dotted cotton-linen fabric embroidered with feather-stitch in pale moss green,  a painted wooden button and a brass 'bicycle' charm.  It comes with a bookmark made of brown wax-string accented with a stopper.  The stopper is made from a printed cotton label 'Zakka Life and a piece of brown polka-dotted cotton-linen fabric, further decorated with a brown 'love' craft button.

The cover measures approximately 10.5cm x 15cm (when closed) but can be custom made to fit books of any size.   The diary when it has been filled, can easily be replaced with another diary/book of a similar size.  The book cover is 100% hand-stitched with love and care.  Great gift idea for family and friends, students and teachers, as well as clients.

Chloe Fabric Bookmarks ~ Zakka Life1

Tuck one into a favourite book...

The Chloe bookmarks here come in pretty, romantic prints.  I hope each bookmark finds its place among treasured books.  It's a perfect gift for a person who needs just a bit of encouragement to read!

Details :
Fabric :  Assorted cotton and linen-cotton blend ~ *Little Red Riding Hood in Pink*, *Little Sue in Purple*, *Shopping in Paris in Blue*, *Vintage Dressmaking in Pink* & *Cute Kitties in Cream* (for custom orders : can request choice of fabric, click {HERE} to view our fabric collection).
Lining/Interfacing : A layer of matching felt is sandwiched in between fabric.  All fabric are interfaced. 
Size : 2.5cm wide x 14cm long (without tassel). 
Decorative : Each bookmark is affixed with a cut fabric from *Zakka Life*with the words "Time of healing" and "Calm everyday".  Tassels are made from matching wax strings attached with a 'bundle of books' brass charms.  Further embellished with craft buttons.
Construction :  Entirely hand-stitched.  All fabric fully backed/interfaced. Fabric edges may fray but is intentional for a shabby chic look.
