Details :

Frame : Wooden photo frame with glass panel, approx. 11.5cmx15cm rectangle, opening for photo art - 8cmx11cm, holds a photo sized 8.5cmx12.5cm.

Fabric : 14-count Aida cloth.

Decorative : The words "A Home is built by Hearts" are cross-stitched in apple green. Cross-stitched motifs of 'vine' and 'flowers'.  'Kitchen utensils' fabric applique motifs cut from linen-cotton fabric *Country Kitchen in Colour*.  Affixed with 'telephone' and 'birdhouse' stainless steel charms as well as 'car' and 'key' brass charms. Accented with 'love' and 'bird' craft buttons.

Construction : Fabric is interfaced.  An easel stand at the back supports the frame up.

Details : 

Material : Felt ~ chilli red and lime green.

Lining : US designer cotton *Russian Dolls*.

Size : 8.5cm height x 13cm length (closed).

Compartments : Two slots for cash, cards, slim gadget, etc.

Embroidery : The verse "She is more precious than rubies" in yellow.  'Proverbs 3:15' cross-stitched in red.  Assorted flower buttons arranged as sun.  Daisies in blue with white beads.  Main stitches used : couching, lazy daisies and straight stitch (pattern can be personalised according to your taste). 

Closure : Flap with magnetic button.

Decorative : 1 red chinese silk craft button and side tab label of 'Happy Zakka Prints'.

Construction :  Entirely hand-stitched.  All fabric fully backed/interfaced. Lining fabric edges has an intentionally frayed look.  All stress points are reinforced with triple stitching for durability.  Finished with a strong blanket stitch in matching colours.

'Celebration!' Framed Art

These charming little framed art can be a unique addition to your wall art, for display on a cabinet shelf/side table in your bedroom or maybe it can be a gift for someone special.  This is a custom gift set for a display showcase  near the prayer room.  Completely handmade, with love and care. 

Details : 'Pongal' Framed Art

Frame : 'Light grey' photo frame with plastic panel, approx. 11.5cmx15cm rectangle, opening for photo art - 8cmx11cm.

Felt : Red polka-dot (for embroidery) and purple chequered (for background).

Decorative : Hand-embroidery 'kolam-style' of pongal pot, lamp (kuthu Vilakku), sugarcane and the sun. 'Kolam' is a form of painting that is normally drawn using rice flour, usually at the entrance of the house and prayer room in Indian homes.  A kolam is composed of straight and curved lines and loops, drawn around a pattern of dots.  Pongal is a harvest festival celebration.  The pongal pot signifies "overflowing or abundance of prosperity."
Construction : Design is partly from web, embroidered using different coloured cotton thread.  An easel stand at the back supports the frame up.

Frame : 'Fuchsia' photo frame with plastic panel, approx. 11.5cmx15cm rectangle, opening for photo art - 8cmx11cm.

Felt : Forest green, apple green, mustard yellow, turquoise and electric blue for peacock feather.
Decorative : Peacock feather is embellished with silver flower sequins and pink and cream beads.  Thaipusam is celebrated for liberation and courage and is signified by Lord Muruga receiving the 'vel' (divine spear).  Peacock is Lord Muruga's vahana (mount/vehicle).
Construction : All handcut and stitched using different coloured cotton thread.  An easel stand at the back supports the frame up.
